Quick check before we cut. Is it ok to tap this M6x1.0 about 0.43 deep? Material thickness is only 0.5mm, so if we go 0.47 deep it will impact the back surface.

Good catch. 0.43 is fine, just confirm full thread engagement on the gage.

Confirmed, 5 full threads at 0.43. Won't be obvious before anodize but we caught it on the first piece.
